Big Hairy Oaf
Ingredients:

  • 1 part vodka
  • 1 part peach schnapps
  • 4 parts dark ginger ale (we use Buffalo Rock)
  • lime

Directions: Mix liquid ingredients in glass with ice. Add lime zest or squeeze of lime. Garnish with lime wedge. This adaptation of a fuzzy navel (or hairy navel with the addition of the vodka) has a Chewbacca color if you get a dark ginger ale, and perfectly captures his strength and sweetness.

Rum Sleg
Ingredients:

  • 2 oz rum
  • .5 oz amaretto
  • .5 dry vermouth
  • piece of fruit or several berries
  • orange juice

Directions: In a lowball glass add rum and muddle fruit or berries (raspberries were used in the pictured drink). Add amaretto, dry vermouth, and ice. Fill remainder with orange juice and stir. Named in honor of random background person with skull mask named “Rum Sleg.” This drink (though not the name) also works great with vodka instead of rum.

Hyperspace
Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz gin
  • 1.5 teaspoons creme de violette
  • 1.5 teaspoons maraschino liqueur
  • .75 oz lemon juice
  • .5 oz lime juice
  • splash grapefruit soda

Directions: For this souped up Aviation, mix all ingredients except for grapefruit soda in shaker with ice. Strain into cup add splash of grapefruit soda (or more to taste).

Java the Hutt
Ingredients:

  • 8 oz coffee (hot or cold)
  • 1 oz rum
  • 3 oz RumChata

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a large mug. If using hot coffee, top with whipped cream. If using cold coffee, rim mug or glass with cinnamon and sugar and add ice.

Death Star Shot
Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz of tequila
  • 1 slice of jalapeno
  • 1 one wedge or orange or lime

Directions: Put jalapeno slice in shot of tequila. Slice may float or sink. Try to squeeze the citrus juice within the circle of jalepeno without your targeting computer. Drink.
If you leave the jalapeno in the glass when you drink, your shot just impacted on the surface.

The Blue Beru
Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup frozen bluerries
  • 1/2 Cup (or a little less) of milk or dairy substitute
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • .75 oz Bailey’s
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Optional: other fruits, berries, juices, e.g. strawerries, pomegranate seeds, etc.

Directions: Combine all liquid ingredients in blender. Fill liquid to near the top with crushed ice. Add sugar and fruits. Blend to desired consistency.
For non-alcoholic version leave out vodka, and substitute chocolate syrup for Bailey’s, and add additional sugar as needed.
For an A New Hope watch party, make this drink and additional fruits and berries guests can add to their Blue Beru and mix with immersion blender if frozen or hand-mixer if fresh.

Chewie’s Special Ewok Nog
Ingredients:

  • 2 parts eggnog
  • 1 part vodka
  • 1 part amaretto

Directions: Stir all ingredients in glass. Garnish with nutmeg and/or candy cane.

The Forest Moon
Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. bourbon (or rye)
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • 2 shakes bitters
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary simple syrup*

Directions: Combine all ingredients in old fashioned glass and stir. Add ice. Garnish with rosemary sprig. Optional: You can add carbonated water, if you want to dilute it.
*To make rosemary simple syrup, dissolve sugar in boiling water, 2:1 water to sugar ratio. Add a few sprigs of rosemary in water. Turn off heat once sugar is dissolved and let sit 30 minutes before straining out rosemary and cooling.

The Mos Eisley Mule
Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • 1 jalepeno seeded (less spicy but tastier alternative Anaheim pepper)
  • 4 oz. very spicy ginger ale (we use Buffalo Rock; Blenheim also works)

Directions: Combine vodka, lime juice and seeded hot pepper. Muddle hot pepper and strain out remains. Pour into glass (or copper mug) with ice and add ginger ale. Garnish with pieces of hot pepper if you want the drink to continue to get spicier.

The Oil Bath
Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. gin
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 teaspoons high quality olive oil
  • dash of bitters (optional)

Directions: Add all ingredients to shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously with a tight grip on the lid (the egg white reacts the other ingredients). Serve in chilled martini glass. (The egg white is necessary to create a foam that captures the olive oil.)
